REVERSE OSMOSIS

Reverse Osmosis (RO) is a method used to remove dissolved solids and suspended solids from water.  The presence of dissolved solids in a solution, increases the solution's conductivity, or the ability to conduct electricity.  Therefore, the higher number of dissolved solids in a solution, the higher the conductivity potential.  The presence of these solids may be detrimental to water based operations, such as steam production, the rinsing of electronic components after manufacturing, and the preparation of food and pharmaceutical materials.
